Chelsea striker Fernando Torres has said that he will sit down with the Chelsea board at the end of the season and discuss his future, according to the Chelsea News. The Spaniard has said that he is clearly unhappy at the role he has had to play at the club.

The £ 50 million striker was on the bench for the Champions League final against Bayern Munich on Saturday. It was one of the biggest matches of the season and the Spaniard has said that he is extremely disappointed to have been left out of the starting line-up. Chelsea interim manager Roberto di Matteo preferred striker Didier Drogba in the attack.

It was a brave decision from the Italian and it reaped the rewards because Didier Drogba scored the goal that helped Chelsea stay in the match, while he also scored the winning penalty that helped them lift the first ever Champions League trophy. Fernando Torres appeared happy when celebrating after lifting the title, but in the aftermath of the celebrations, he has given an interview that will certainly raise doubts about his future. Torres has said that he has not been delivered the promises that he was given when he signed for Chelsea back in January 2011 for a British record transfer fee of £ 50 million.

“This season I have felt things that I never had before. I’ve felt like they treated me in a way that I didn’t expect, not in the way that was spoken of when they signed me. We’ve had a lot of talks and we’ll talk about my future because the role I’ve had this season is not for me, nor is it the one I expected to play when I came here. I’m not comfortable,” said Torres after winning his first Champions League title.
