Spanish giants Valencia are lining up an audacious move to bring Chelsea striker Fernando Torres back to Spain as they look at life without their star striker Roberto Soldado.

The Spanish international Soldado is close to completing a big money move to the Premier League after the cash strapped outfit decided to cash in on their star striker after Tottenham Hotspur met their £ 26 million valuation of the striker.

And the former Spanish League champions have already drawn up a list of replacements for the free scoring striker that reportedly includes Manchester United’s Mexican international Javier Hernandez and Arsenal’s French international striker Olivier Giroud alongside the former Atletico Madrid striker Torres.

Chelsea have already made Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney their priority target for the summer and that could see the misfiring Fernando Torres make the move away from Stamford Bridge for a cut price fee and Valencia are looking to take advantage of the situation by putting in a cheeky bid for the player.

According to a Spanish paper, Valencia has already established contract with the Spaniard and his agent over a potential move back to Spain after eight successful years in English football. The paper also asserted that Valencia are reluctant to pay any more than half of the £ 50 million Chelsea paid Liverpool as his transfer fee to bring the player to Spain.

It also remains to be seen whether Chelsea owner Roman Abramovic takes such a massive hit on a player who has been a shadow of his former self since he made the move from Liverpool in January 2011. Fernando Torres has scored only 34 goals in 134 appearances for Chelsea and is said to be keen on a move back to his native land in order to secure his place in the Spanish side for next summer’s World Cup.
