Fernando Torres has recorded an impressive goal form after returning to his former club, Atletico Madrid.
The striker scored in four consecutive games for the first time since his move to English Premier League side, Liverpool. The centre forward who is 32 years old had this same form last in March 2010. The Spaniard has struck up an amazing partnership with team mate, Koke.
The legendary striker, who played for Atletico Madrid from 2001/02 till he made the switch to play for The Reds in 2007/2008 season, struggled at Chelsea but has hit form again at Atletico Madrid. The key forward has nine goals to his name this season. He scored the second goal in the 3-0 round up of Granada, helping the team to move level on points with Catalan giants, Barcelona in the La Liga.
The striker looks good after scoring consistently in his last four games. The striker seems to have developed a promising partnership with playmaker, Koke. The last three goals by the Spaniard were assists from the playmaker.
Torres recently came out to declare his intention of staying at Atletico. He said he would love to follow the example set by Francesco Totti at Roma. Coach Diego someone hinted that he would like to keep Torres, who is on loan from AC Milan. The player had moved to AC Milan for three million Euros from Chelsea after a disappointing season at Stamford Bridge.
“I’d like to be the Totti of Atletico, but more than ever today is not the day to be talking about this.
“I feel better than yesterday and I hope worse than tomorrow.
“I am enjoying the moment and happy to be playing regularly. It is not coincidence this good moment. I am scoring goals, which is a good thermometer,” the striker said on El Larguero radio show.
