Fernando Torres was expected to make his official debut as a player of Ac.Milan during the Italian clubs’ match against Parma which was played on September 14 and ended in a thrilling 5-4 victory for Ac.Milan but Torres picked up an injury which forced him to stay out of the pitch.
The Spanish forward is expected however to be featured in the next Italian League match of Ac.Milan against their rivals Juventus. The sprained ankle of Torres that he picked up in the training session was nothing too serious and all signs are pointing towards the veteran forward making his debut with his new club.
Ac.Milan has kicked off their new season in a stunning fashion as they collected victories over Lazio and Parma, at this point in time they remain undefeated but the team of Filippo Inzaghi will face their toughest challenge yet by playing against the current champions of Italy, Juventus.
Torres was brought into Ac.Milan as a player that is expected of replacing Mario Balotelli who was sold to Liverpool and this is transfer will probably be one of the last chances that Fernando Torres has on playing with a big club and restore his form of years ago.
At his 30 years of age it seems highly doubtful that any big European club would be interested in signing him once his 2 yearlong loan deal with Ac.Milan reaches its end and this is why so many fans of the Italian club are eager and hoping that Torres can finish the last few years of his career on a high note and turn into the player that he was once was with Liverpool where he was considered to be one of the best forwards in the world.
